Gary has over 25 years’ experience in design, project engineering, project management, sales, and operations of material handling and warehouse automation systems.
Currently the Director of Operations for Rochester Drug Cooperative (RDC) in Rochester, NY. Gary has been with RDC for 7 years. RDC is a pharmaceutical wholesaler, owned and directed by Independent Pharmacists. Since 1905, the company has operated as a cooperative and now services 1,300 northeastern community retail pharmacies in 10 states from 2 distribution centers.
Gary updated the Rochester facilities’ warehouse automation in 2012, and integrated the first ever mobile autonomous piece picking robots in 2017. During 2014 through 2016, Gary was responsible for opening RDC’s second facility, a green-field building in NJ. The facility, developed with Schaefer Systems, Inc., is a state of the art automated system with a-frames, carousels, conveyor, and other automated specialized machines.
RDC’s integration of robots has been featured in leading industry publications including Modern Materials Handling, Forbes, Logistics Viewpoints, Robotics Business Review, Logistics Management, and others.
Gary holds an MBA from Manhattan College, and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College.
